MAMBA® yellow line – Detection of Allergens
Allergic reactions can be caused by many different natural substances, e.g., certain animal and plant species as food ingredients or difficult-to-avoid contaminants in food products.
While many allergic reactions are mild, some can be life-threatening, especially when they lead to anaphylaxis — a severe and potentially fatal allergic reaction that can occur rapidly. Some of the best-known allergens are peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans, wheat, legumes, certain fish species, crustaceans and mollusks. A very sensitive method to detect such allergenic species, even in complex matrices, is PCR.
MAMBA DIAGNOSTIK offers all reagents necessary for qPCR- and ddPCR identification of the most important potentially allergic species.
